Meet Dr. Stubbs

Dr. Kristofer J.M. Stubbs was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida, and has always been an advocate for education, technology, marketing, and continuous improvement. He completed his undergraduate work at  Duke University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. While attending Duke University, Dr. Stubbs was a member of the football team playing both Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. Immediately following graduation from Duke, he continued his education at the University of South Florida (USF) and earned his Master’s degree in Education focusing on Curriculum & Instruction for College Student Affairs. Dr. Stubbs earned his doctorate degree in educational leadership & administration from Point Park University. 

Dr. Stubbs’ professional journey began as a graduate student at USF where he worked in the athletics department as an Academic Advisor for the Men’s Baseball and Track and Field teams. In this role, he oversaw the teams’ day-to-day academic operations, which included meeting daily with students to select majors and plan course schedules that aligned with students’ specific career goals. Immediately after, Dr. Stubbs began working as an Academic Advisor for the College of Business in which he oversaw an academic and career development portfolio of over 600+ students. 

After serving in the College of Business at USF, he decided to explore other career industries and began working in the finance industry as a Financial Advisor while simultaneously working as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College teaching the course ‘Strategies For College Success.’. After a few years working as a financial advisor, Dr. Stubbs decided to move back to Tampa and began working in the Career Services Office at USF as a Career Counselor, Professional Dress Store Manager, and weekly radio show host of ‘TheFollowUP’ for USF’s Bulls Radio.

Following his time at USF, Dr. Stubbs decided to take his talents towards his 1st love – technology, more specifically, Digital Media and Marketing. Guided by his strong belief in self-directed learning and his intense love for education and technology.  Dr. Stubbs self-taught himself numerous technical skills over the years that positioned him to become the Founding Director of Technology for Cristo Rey High School in Tampa, Florida.

Fast forward to 2016,  Dr. Stubbs took his talents up north where he served as the founding Director of the Early College High School program for Pittsburgh Public Schools. In this program high school students have the opportunity to earn both their high school diploma and a college degree.

In 2020, Dr. Stubbs served as the Legislative Assistant for the state of Florida, working directly with Florida State Senator Bobby Powell Jr. in which he assisted in proposing, drafting and negotiating legislation, on behalf of the constituents of the state of Florida.

In 2021, Dr. Stubbs began serving as the Executive Director of Enrollment Services at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he led a team of 20 staff members, including six Directors.

In Dr. Stubbs’ spare time he enjoys fishing, working out, watching sports and reading.
